McAf.ee Creates Secure Short URLs

Antivirus Software company McAfee (which recently acquired by Intel) started new safe secure short URL service Mcaf.ee.

For cosmoGeek, I got the following short URL - http://mcaf.ee/c1487

If you click on it and carefully observe it, you can see how the sites are reviewed and the top frame shows the result.

So why are Mcaf.ee short URLs secure? McAf.ee is powered by McAfee Global Threat Intelligence, which lets you create short URLs which are checked against McAfee databases of known spam, dangerous, malware hosting, bot control sites prior to being shown.

Windows Phone 7.5 Tango Officially Renamed As ‘Refresh’

The next version of Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system after Mango 7.1 is officially renamed as ‘Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh’ – according to the head of Windows Phone division for Microsoft Italy.     According to Italian version of the post , 7.5 Refresh update will mostly be an update to the minimum specs of the devices it’ll be able to run (minimum RAM requirements is dropped from 512 MB to 256 MB). The next major update after ‘Refresh’ is called Windows Phone Apollo (probably Windows Phone 8) could certainly be an exciting release from Microsoft.
