Microsoft announced that it will provide a credit to all current Windows Azure customers in response to a system outage due to February 29 leap day bug. The company decided to to provide a 33% credit to all customers of Windows Azure Compute, Access Control, Service Bus and Caching for the entire affected billing months for these services, regardless of whether their service was impacted.     Microsoft corporate vice president of the server and cloud division, Bill Laing wrote in the blog post summarizing the service disruption - “After an incident occurs, we take the time to analyze the incident and ways we can improve our engineering, operations and communications.  To learn as much as we can, we do the root cause analysis but also follow this up with an analysis of all aspects of the incident.  The three truths of cloud computing are: hardware fails, software has bugs and people make mistakes.  Our job is to mitigate all of these unpredictable issues to provide a robus

The game is developed by Imangi Studios consisting of three member team and have been highly creative since they launched. The iOS version of Temple Run for iPhone and iPad boasts over 40 million downloads in the App Store since its debut in August 2011. Also, the team recently announced that they are bringing this game for Android devices on March 27 as a free download.     Of course, the below trailer is not a real movie but the game fans would love to watch if it is made into one.

Finally, Apple released its next iPad few hours ago. Before Apple’s event today, there were number of speculations that this ‘Resolutionary’ ( that’s what Apple is calling it on its official website )  device is called as ‘iPad 3’ or ‘iPad HD’. But, Apple just named this new product as just ‘ The new iPad’ . Perfect!     This naming convention makes sense if you think for long term. Just think about in future, does iPhone 13 or iPad 16 makes sense to you? This also makes sense if you think about the iPhone series. The current iPhone 4S is actually the fifth generation iPhone device, and the next iPhone series is the sixth generation and Apple may call it as iPhone 5. Err, may be or completely not. Before the much hyped Apple’s iPad HD (or iPad 3?) event , Google introduced a new cloud based media platform called Google Play which is similar to Apple’s iTunes. Google Play will be the users’ one place shop for movies, music, apps, games and books. The giant integrated the current Android Market, Google Music too into this new service.       And similar to Apple’s iCloud, Google said on its official blog post that all your purchased content will be backed up automatically so there is no need to worry about losing your purchases. Today, Google announced that it is going to increase Android app size limit from 50 MB to 4 GB. Until now, Android apps have been limited to a maximum size of 50 MB. Even though this works for most apps, there are instances where developers felt trouble uploading HD and 3D apps especially games which require more resources.   According to official blog post , Application APK size remains limited to 50 MB, however, developers can now include two 2 GB expansion stores which are stored in shared storage on the client device.
